The bill directs the VA Secretary to set up a program that uses genetic sequencing to tailor prostate cancer treatments. It designates at least 21 VA medical facilities as Centers of Excellence, each staffed with specialists, and creates a leadership team at the Seattle VA. The bill authorizes $15.5 million per year for the program from 2027 to 2029. It was introduced by Representative Murphy and co-sponsored by Representative Conaway. As of now, it is in the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs and has not had a floor vote.
